Leading Muslim Professionals Come Together to
Promote Innovation and Change
The Council for the Advancement of Muslim Professionals (CAMP)
Hosts 2nd Leadership Summit

What: Professional learning and relationship building among Muslim professionals across all fields, including business, law, non-profit, healthcare, education, technology, finance and media. Panels and workshops with over 30 leading Muslim professionals from around the U.S. on the theme, ‘Building Excellence in Leadership’. Topics include:

  • Challenges and opportunities of leadership
  • Practical tips on career advancement
  • Strategies to deal with Islamophobia and ignorance or non-tolerance in the workplace

Conference goals include:

  • Creating a space for Muslim professionals across industries to discuss collective experiences and gain inspiration.
  • Moving beyond social networking among professionals toward a platform of professional learning and development.

  • Imam Zaid Shakir - One of the most respected and influential Islamic scholars in the West. Founder, New Islamic Directions; Resident scholar, Zaytuna Institute
  • Maha ElGenaidi - Founder, CEO and President, Islamic Networks Group (ING), dedicated to educating the public about Islam
  • Arshad Matin - CEO, President, Board member, Seismic Micro Technologies (SMT), global leader in the Oil and Gas E&P technical software marketplace

CAMP, established in 1994, has over 18 chapters in the US and Canada, with a membership base of 22,000. CAMP’s mission is to promote the development of Muslim professionals by enhancing their understanding of mainstream corporate culture and values, through interactive programs designed to help members develop professionally. CAMP members include highly educated and successful Muslim professionals from various backgrounds, focused on helping the community and making a difference in society.
